5-25 Going to the Beach - Italian Style! Memorial Day Tributes and Helping the Oklahoma Tornado Victims

The Oklahoma tornadoes – created by our government?  Memorial day tributes, heroic teachers, shelved governors, Hillary Clinton, a possible deadbeat dad in the NBA, Italian beach eats — and was Nicky on a Red Sox/Indians game? We covered all that and more in this weeks’s show!

Italian rapper Bobby Braciola returned this week! (His hit song “From Chooch to Gooch” was blasting all over Florida earlier in the day!) The guys talked about the terrible Oklahoma tornadoes – and how a certain radio host suggested the government intentionally created them. And the notion that the tornadoes were sent as punishment for gay marriage and abortion rights? Get outta here!
We also talked about the Wise Guys efforts to help the Oklahoma tornado victims.
Our nations teachers have become our kid’s first line of defense at school – so we named them our Stand-up People of the Week.
Nicky and Bobby talked about the May 24 game between the Red Sox and Indians – was there some funny business going on? Nicky also told a hilarious story about some of his football prognosticating! Is there a deadbeat dad playing for the Lakers? We talked about it.
In honor of Memorial Day, we honored our nation’s falled heroes.  Plus, the guys reminisced about their favorite Italian foods to take the beach. And we don’t know if Hillary Clinton is running in 2016 but Nicky thinks she’d win — which pretty much means she won’t. (But every now and then, he’s right.)
Finally, the crew put governors John Hickenlooper and Lincoln Chaffee on the Shelf for being soft on murderers.

5-11 Premiere Episode with Albert DeRobbio and Nicky Barrilla

Our premiere broadcast! Albert & Nicky introduced themselves and got things going right away by discussing old time values.

Retired NYPD detective Michael Kaycheck was this week’s guest. He talk organized crime and explained some of its different facets.

The Wise Guys discussed their thoughts on what should be done with the Boston Marathon Bomber’s body, Nicky told two funny stories about – get ready – toll booths and the Guys had a great time with some listener calls.

They also mentioned two of the show’s regular segments:

SHELF OF THE WEEK

The idiot who held up a “Toronto Stronger” sign during a NHL playoff game is named our inaugural “Shelf of the Week.” Here he is, in all his shame.

STAND-UP PEOPLE OF THE WEEK

Two groups received our award for the Wise Guys’ first-ever “Stand-up People of the Week.”

Los Angeles Dodgers centerfielder Matt Kemp and third base coach Tim Wallach brightened the spirits of a young cancer patient after a baseball game last week.

Eighth graders Hannah Pappenfus, Linka Wintersteen, and Devon Solwold of Moorhead, Minnesota, created an anti-bullying music video.
