The mob wanted the casinos in Cuba – but with Castro in power, it wasn’t happening. And given Kennedy’s botched attempt at assassinating Castro, the mafia was not happy.

On top of that, the mob allegedly played a large hand helping JFK win the Presidency – and when John installed his mafia-hunting brother Bobby as Attorney General, everyone’s fate was sealed.
